This unit is specifically designed for engine starting only.
- Not to be used as an aircraft battery charger.
- Do not charge in flight.
The all-new, patent pending START PAC® Model Li2800 QC Twin Pac utilizes the latest technology in Lithium batteries and lithium ground support equipment. Providing the same power as the lead-acid type, these batteries are superior being 42 percent lighter and 32 percent smaller. Additionally, lithium batteries have two other major advantages:
- Twice the battery life of lead-acid batteries
- No sulfation problems (can be left in a discharged state without causing damage)

NOTE: When storing the START PAC® for more than 30 days, remove the battery box from the charging unit and keep separately.
PLEASE NOTE: Lithium ion batteries can be damaged by deep discharges. Do not run the batteries down below 22 volts; a spike during a start is okay. Voltages below 22 will begin to damage the batteries and at 20 volts, the batteries will be damaged beyond repair.
Trust START PAC to deliver reliable and long-lasting products. Maybe, you need a different power supply unit? Or even a unit that starts up gas turbines? Whether you need a new starting unit, or 28 volt power supplies, START PAC offers a large selection of other products in addition to the portable Model 53050, including ground power units, starting units and portable power supplies.

Twin Pac For Engine Starting Only
This compact, portable Lithium ion starting unit is a full 28 VDC battery pack and will provide superior starts on electrically started turbine engines Designed for engine starting only, the lithium technology is the lightest available on the market, which makes this lithium GPU ideal to preserve payload when the unit is being carried out in the field.
Versatile and robust, this Twin Pac can be used as a single unit or separated into two complete Lithium units that can easily be carried on board When used as a Twin Pac set up, this unit will provide additional capacity for an increased number of starts before it needs to be recharged.
This patented START PAC® unit will provide a faster and cooler engine start than most ship’s aircraft batteries (the turbine is spooled to more revolutions per second before fuel is injected) Thus, turbine life will be extended because there is less stress on the starter and other engine components This will preserve the aircraft’s costly batteries and help lower operating costs Your airborne, on
board battery can then be saved for emergency use only As a START PAC® secures all your engine starts, this unit will ensure that you have no downtime, even in remote locations.
This START PAC® has separate removable batteries that can be changed in less than one minute (no tool necessary) This unique feature allows the user to switch the batteries in the field without needing to return the unit to the shop or manufacturer for battery replacement it’s virtually maintenance free.
The
Li 2800 QC Twin Pac is coated in an environmentally responsible, low VOC powder coating, which protects it from wear, tear and extreme weather conditions Additionally, an all weather cover is also available as an option
to protect this unit further from inclement weather and to gain the maximum
performance and product life.
Power Supply Not for Engine Starting Not for Battery Charging
The most commonly used 24 V portable power supply, this START PAC® model has been designed to power up 24 Volt aircraft systems and will continuously deliver up to full 50 amp DC output The voltage output is set to 28 5 Volts to simulate the same voltage as when the aircraft is running under power.
This START PAC®’s maximum amperage output is 50 amps which is more than adequate for powering up various systems such as GPS and avionics programming It is also an excellent choice for powering the aircraft’s maintenance equipment bypassing the aircraft battery and thus preserving it from unnecessary wear This means that the on board aircraft battery is conserved for starting only The environmentally
responsible, low VOC powder coating protects the unit from wear, tear and poor weather conditions.
